How do I register for an event?

Find the event you'd like to attend and register directly through its event page — you'll receive a confirmation with everything you need to join.

Can I visit a Mercy Ships hospital ship?

Occasionally. Ships are opened to visitors only when they're in port between field services, which is infrequent and announced in advance. During a field service, the ship is a working hospital and isn't open to the public.

Does it cost anything to attend?

Talks and recruitment evenings are usually free. Some fundraising events carry a ticket price. Your national office can tell you which is which.

Will I be asked to donate?

At fundraising events, yes — that's what they're for, and it will be clear from the invitation. At a talk or a recruitment evening, you can come, listen, ask questions, and leave without giving anything.

Can I attend online events?

Yes. Many of our events, like our online info evenings, are held virtually so you can join from anywhere.

Where are events held?

Events are held both online and in person, depending on the event — in-person events are typically hosted by your local Mercy Ships office.

Can I bring guests?

In most cases, yes — check the specific event page for guest details, as this can vary by event.

How do I request a speaker?

Contact the Mercy Ships office in your country with the date, the setting, and roughly how many people will be there. A few weeks' notice makes it far easier to find the right person.

Can I meet a recruiter without committing to anything?

Yes. Many of our events and info evenings are simply a chance to ask questions and learn more about volunteering — there's no obligation to apply or commit to anything by attending.
